Anyone know the difference between the old Eastman cases and the new ones?

There are two tenor models floating around and hard to tell the difference between the two...

The CATB16 and the CE 176. I think the older model is the CATB16...

Anyone have any idea what the difference is? Or did they just start producing the same exact case when they restarted production?

The new ones have some added modular padding inside, as well as a velcro cover for the bell section, upgraded velcro straps for the slide cover, better quality latches, and much nicer shaped foam backpack straps. It’s worth buying the new ones if you’re in need of a new case.

I have 2 older models (small bore and medium size) and a newer one for my Bass.
The workmanship on the older ones is much better. The newer one is not as sturdy and a little flimsily

The older Eastman cases are much sturdier. Heavier fiberglass and less prone to flexing.
