Pull leadpipe on Bach 50 slide

If a tech pulls the stock lead pipe off of a Bach 50 slide which will it then be able to accept press fit Bach type or screw in?

However, it is a fairly simple job for a competent tech to install a threaded receiver on the slide after the pipe is pulled. I've lost count of the number of slides I've done this on...

I can vouch for two Bach 50 slides Horn Builder has done this to very successfully!
