Making a straight horn into a convertible

I'm toying with the idea of making my straight Selmer Bolero into a convertible horn so I can still only carry one horn to gigs but could easily swap out if I find the stage size requires a trigger due to space.

Where would I be able to get the F-attachment tubing/trigger assembly so I could have my tech perform this?

Most of us have spare tubing lying around from previous projects or have suppliers that we can get tubing & crooks from.

And Eric would be my first choice to do this work! :good:

Or just get a 3B/F bell section.

I actually have four valve sections that would work on that horn that I'd sell you if you were interested. The problem that I can forsee is getting an extra slide/tuning slide receiver. I'm not sure if there is anything that would be compatible. You could theoretically swap the tenon out and the receiver on all three but for that cost you're encroaching on 'just get a different horn' level of pricing. If you were okay having the F attachment on full time, then that would be a bit of a different story though. Send me an email/pm if you want me to lay out what I have. I'll have to dig up the pictures for it.

I hadn't even considered the need for another slide receiver and yeah, with that kind of cost, it'd be more feasible to just get another horn.
