Hey Chatters,

I'm looking for a very basic list of solo repertoire starting from basically beginner level all the way up through top-tier stuff.

In order of difficulty, what would you consider appropriate for beginners, intermediate, advanced, college, professional, etc.?

What are some of your favorites?

Many schools post their performance degree syllabus online with such a list.

The NYSSMA list might be a good place to start. Hickey's has a site where you can see works by instrument/Grade level: https://www.hickeys.com/music/contests/NYSSMA/

NYSSMA has 6 grade levels. Under the Trombone, click desired grade level to see a list of pieces for that grade level.

It's a bit dated (1970) but Reginald Fink's "Trombonist's Handbook" has such a list.
