Does anyone know anything about the courtois ultra light slide? What makes it different from a regular light slide. Is this the lightest weight .547 slide available in yellow brass?

I think you didn’t fully read or understand my question.
Courtois offers a light slide and an ultra light slide. I assume both of these don’t have sleeves. What’s the difference between light and ultra light.

Four slide models are available for the Legend 420 trombones. Standard slides are yellow brass with nickel sleeves for a powerful stable tone, yellow brass with extrusions for a livelier and more vibrant response, ultralight brass with a soldered sterling lead pipe, for a lightweight clear centered tone, and nickel silver slides for their broader and more powerful playing qualities
Ehm the leadpipe apparently…. I had such a slide on my sterling bell 420.

Thanks! That is helpful. Did you like the ultra light slide? I’m curious in trying one, but I’d probably end up getting the lead pipe removed for a nickel silver from brass ark

For me it was the best slide in combo with the (heavy!!) sterling bell. For other bells I would recommend the regular slide (later I had a MBOHR (hagmann, goldbrass bell)).

I’m also wondering if there is a lighter weight slide than the Courtois ultralight available in yellow brass (other companies)

Wilco nailed it. Good job mate! There was also a heavy weight slide which Jorgen used with his 420BR.
