Poems about trombone?
Hello, does anyone know any poets who also play trombone or poems written about trombone?
Thank you!
Thank you!

Re: Poems about trombone?
I recently got into writing poetry as a coping mechanism. It’s unusual but absolutely fantastic for me mentally.
On other notes I got commissioned to write a libretto by a local composer, which is pseudo-poetry.
Either of those count?

Re: Poems about trombone?
There once was a man from Nantucket
Who carried his "bone" in a bucket.
He whipped it out fast
And left them all jazzed,
Then told the trombonists to "suck it!"

Re: Poems about trombone?
You chose the trombone.
None shall love you or despair.
Your friends are the damned.
(Haiku: 3 lines, 5-7-5 syllables.)

Here's a classic. Not a poem, but an essay everyone should read once.

Paul Taylor, trombone poet
https://trombonepoetry.com
there are supposed to be his poems on that website, but i'm still looking for them This looks goood!
The intro, plus that Gandhi-lookalike prompter bust in the back, i thought this must be Ivor Cutler territory. But then the music started and ... i needed to run to work
