I currently keep my Olds LA Special in an ambassador case, since the original broke apart. Between the smell of the case and the smell of old brass (the entire trombone has almost no lacquer) it's impossible to clean and flush it without a smell coming back.
I think a new case would help it but I don't know what new cases fit it. Anyone have any suggestions?

Re: Old case, new suggestion?
I kept my Olds Super in a lower end Crossrock case I got for a steal. I had to modify it a touch due to the slide width and receiver, but it wasn’t too difficult a modification as I just had to reshape the styrofoam under the material.
I do prefer cases with latches as opposed to zippers. This particular case did very well, held the slide and bell securely and had enough room for the mouthpiece, slide oil and a few other minor things.
