“Tenorified” Bach MV 1.5 ?

It looks like it is in great shape, I just have never heard of that customization. Was that done by Bach himself ? And why would someone do that ?
I know of players who occasionally use a 1.5G for certain repertoire but I am surprised someone would alter an MV that much to fit a 42B. Because that’s what I am looking at, correct ?

I think it’s small shank according to the description? Possibly used by someone in a small shank euphonium?

Also: Wrong forum, apologies. If someone could move it that would be awesome.

Would be perfect for the predecessor to the King 5B, which took a small shank. I would have killed for one of those to use on my Ambassador with F playing 3rd parts. Also for the pre-Director Conn 14H, which had an F-attachment and was considered a bass trombone.
I agree that it would also be good for a small shank Euphonium like the Yamaha 321

I've seen at least one small shank 1-1/2G. Pretty sure it's still available as a custom order.

Looks like a factory custom job.
I have a Curry 1.5D small shank (no longer available, but he still makes a small shank 1.5G) that I've used on a couple medium-bore f-attachment horns. As long as you don't try to put "bass trombone air" through it, the combination works well for the occasional excursion into the trigger register and the pedals are really solid.
That said, I'd spend the extra 60 clams and go the Doug Elliott route before I'd pay $200 for the Bach; that seems to me to be more of a "collectible" price.

I have a factory small shank Corp 1.5G I picked up on eBay years ago that pairs incredibly well with my Williams 9.
