Simple question, I have a King 2B (not a 2102, if that makes a difference) and I wanna know the width of the brace between the curved main brace and the tuning slide brace.
I wanna clamp a beltpack to it and need to know the width
Thanks!

Re: King 2B brace width
Is this for marching? Sticking something on that brace will most likely change how it responds and plays.

Re: King 2B brace width
It's for playing in a rock section. I put velcro on there 3 years ago so if there were changes in the sound I guess I'm used to them now.
Good thing about the clamp is that if it does actually change the sound too much, I can go to plan B

3 3/4 inch (9.52 cm) at the ferrule
3 13/16 inch (9.68 cm) at the socket
I sent you an email with pictures.

Re: King 2B brace width
I mean the width of the brace, not its length between the bell and neckpipe

I think you mean diameter of the rod.
.367, just under 3/8"
.424 on the end ferrules or whatever they're called.
