I find these things interesting for their testimony to what composers and repertoire were in play at the time.

Horatio Parker?
Demare?
Orem?

Parker remains in memory as a college teacher of Charles Ives. The others would be extinct but for the internet.

Meyerbeer's "Torch Dance"? Turns out he has at a least four.
