This interview of John Swallow by Abbie Conant is really fascinating. John was a very smart and honest man, and a fine musician. Though he hated talking about his experience with Reiner in Chicago, he briefly discusses it in this interview. John also talked very openly talked about his work in psychotherapy at a time when there was still a real cultural stigma about it. He was a real mensch and a great musician. I miss him. The interview is well worth your time.
