OK, not strictly trombone related, but I know a lot of you tech guys here do other instruments. I'm not a fiberglass guy, but a customer asked me to re-attach the brass ring that came off the bell of a fiberglass sousaphone, the part that fits into the neck, and I'd like to help them. I assume it was glued on, but what kind of glue would work? Could I use 2 part epoxy?

I’ve built fiberglass canoes. We use a two art epoxy to attach metal parts. Never had anything come loose! The fiberglass would likely break before the epoxy.

Yes epoxy resin/glue is the answer, its what fibreglass is made of - epoxy resin and glass fibre in the first place... Doug

Yes you can. Superglue will even work, if you can get a good enough mating surface.
Superglue is actually a better adhesive than the epoxy used in composites, the only issue is that it is VERY expensive!
