Notification icon doesn't work.

I have a notification. Yet when I click on the notification icon, nothin happens. Additionally, the notification still remains there.

Does anybody have an idea as to what to do? Thanks.

Clicking on the Notification bell should create a dropdown with the last several things you have been notified of. If there are notifications there should be a number next to the bell icon. The icon is always there, but the number will disappear when you deal with the notification.

If there is no dropdown, you have no notifications. If there is no number next to the bell icon you have no new notifications.
