Man, I'm usually pretty up to date with equipment, but I'd never heard of the TERD! It took quite a bit of searching to find an example:
Edwards sure have come up with some "innovative" ideas the last few years...

We have made two. A rose brass and a yellow brass one. I really like it but I didn’t like the extra weight. Also on the tenor version, you just put the TERD on the side towards your head away from the F attachment. You can’t do that on the bass. You can put it on but makes moving tuning slides a bit awkward. It can be dealt with and you might love it.

It was originally for the horns that work better with thin brace tuning slides. The T383A for instance. Then people started using them on the F attachment horns.TheBoneRanger wrote: ↑Thu Apr 23, 2020 5:12 am Man, I'm usually pretty up to date with equipment, but I'd never heard of the TERD! You could try the warp nacelle from a Constitution-class starship.

Just like Ralph Sauer's Forced Air Resistance Tube (FART). I think in his case he really meant the pun.
