I played around on a 1.5D and a 1D when I was playing bass trombone a lot. They felt really solid and the rims we’re comfortable. I was playing a PrimeSlide 4A and a Yeo for jazz bands and symphonies respectively. I didn’t feel like I had to expand my collection with a Curry, but they certainly would be welcome! I’m interested in the 60X

Hey Bill, Max Seigel plays a Curry 1D, which is a very nice mouthpiece. It's a little smaller then what I'm comfortable with where I usually play, but it responds great and is very comfy to play.

Any chance you have the Curry pieces lying around collecting dust?FullPedalTrombonist wrote: ↑Fri Apr 17, 2020 2:09 pm I played around on a 1.5D and a 1D when I was playing bass trombone a lot. Hi Gabe. Thanks. Yes I was speaking with Max a few days ago and I was remembering a time when I tried a Curry piece with a Sterling Duo Gravis I owned for awhile. The combination was explosive. Max is probably the only bass trombonist I know who uses one and he sounds great.GabeLangfur wrote: ↑Fri Apr 17, 2020 5:18 pm Hey Bill, Max Seigel plays a Curry 1D, which is a very nice mouthpiece. They were borrowed.
I can see them really killing it in a DG. I tried them with my Minick 180
