Conn Clarke

Hello all !
Curious about a mouthpiece made for Vincent Clarke, famous New York trombonist in the NBC Symphony.. I know that V. Bach made a Clarke model that later turned into the 6 1/2A variants.. I am especially interested in knowing the differences between the Conn and Bach versions as i know that the Conn pieces from that period had tighter throats/backbores than the Bach.. This topic are related to the search for a suitable match for a 1921 Conn 78H mentioned on another thread i started here.. Sorry for the confusion..

Update: the Conn loyalist states A. Clarke symphony model ... (Allie Clarke?).. Probably what i am looking for, as the horn in question where considered a symphony horn at the time..

I have a Clarke. It's marked "Clarke" and "510". I also have a transitional HI-510 with a blank more like a Conn 3.
I don't know anything about very early Bach 6 1/2s but compared to a modern 6 1/2 the Clarke has a smaller throat.
Yes, i use it on a 1924 78h. But most of the time use a modern mouthpiece like a 6 1/2 or a Stork T1.
There's a thread on the old tromboneforum about Conn mouthpieces. I'll try and track it down.

Thank You, Jacob!... Very informative.. I notice that the Conn "Tait" is not mentioned... I have one to test and find it to be a good alternative..
