Sheridan Hand Grip

Does anyone know if you can use the Sheridan Hand Grip with leather hand grips i.e Greigo or Leather Specialty? Will I have to remove the leather grip or can we use them together?

Usually the leather grips don't cover the spot that the Sheridan goes on.
