Hi,
I get a bit confused when I see all of the various 5 mouthpieces offered by Greg Black.
Which one of Blacks would be closest to a Schilke D5.1? I like the sound of the Schilke on my Bach 42 but the
rim seems a little thinner than other 51's.
If you play a Greg Black could you please offer an opinion.
Thanks
Randy

Probably a 5G. The D5.1 is the revamped 51D, or similar (since Hammond made it, after all) to a Hammond 12L. Greg's 5G is deeper than the average, closer to that depth I think.

Thanks Burgerbob
Since I already like the Schilke (except i kinda of "fall into the mouthpiece a bit"), I think I will try a Hammond 12L.
Thanks for your input.
