Two trombone case?
I am wishing for a double bone case. I have a Bags of Spain Alto tenor that I reworked and like. Bags of Spain cases seem to be gone.
The most likable I found is the Gewa Prestige SPS Trombone Case, Double Trombone Hybrid Cases. Hickeys has one for sale.

I have not found any pics of the insides.
And hoping for a bit cheaper.

You could go Cronkhite but it's not exactly cheap. Also if you go used you can try and find an Reunion Blues or an Alteiri.
On the expensive side you could get a Bonna.

Double tenor? Tenor alto?
I have the Cronkhite double tenor. It's great for transporting two tenors, as long as you don't want to fly with it or throw it under a bus. I like it because it's not very large and very comfortable to carry, something you can't say for the equivalent Bonna cases.

Re: Two trombone case?
Alex Iles swears by his double Bonna case. Bass + tenor. He says it even fits in many overheads. I still think he's crazy for flying with it. If it does fit... it's right on the border of it's too big to fit in the overhead and I wouldn't want to risk putting it under the plane.
Check out the facebook post he made on the case. Should be in one of the trombone groups.

Re: Two trombone case?
The Cronkhite double leather cases are really nice for carrying.
The Marcus Bonna is nice, but big. Definitely not walking across town if I can help it.
I wouldn't fly with it but I wouldn't worry about it in a trunk or under a bus.
Basili will do some custom things and they're cheaper than the Marcus Bonna, but they always feel unfinished and unrefined. The fiberglass shell and cover are cool but the interior always leaves something to be desired.

Re: Two trombone case?
If you're looking for tenor/alto, the Bags of Spain (or whatever they're called now) are great. Not as durable as the MB one, but smaller, more versatile, and cheaper.
I can fit my sackbut, bass trumpet (though tightly), or electronics setup instead of my alto. I really like it cause each gets a half instead of the Bona where one stacks on top the other so you have to take the alto out to get the tenor and the case isn't really secure as a single. The BofS case works really well as a single case and you can use the other side to hold clothes for travel to save on a checked bag.... Size wise it's largest dimensions are no bigger than a pretty normal tenor case, which comes in handy for air travel.

I have a Gewa and so does my son. We both really like it. Small horn and a large tenor fit great.

Re: Two trombone case?
Just a courtesy FYI that The Horn Guys has stopped selling the Bags of Spain double tenor/alto case.
This is what they say:
https://www.hornguys.com/products/bags- ... mbone-caseMarch 26, 2018: The new design of this case does not fit actual trombones without damaging them, so we are discontinuing this model.
Some may remember Steve Ferguson of The Horn Guys from the old forums. I don't know if he made the transition to this site.

I have the tenor/alto case. I modified it. The slide compartments were too tight. Works just fine now.afugate wrote: ↑Wed Jul 31, 2019 6:05 amJust a courtesy FYI that The Horn Guys has stopped selling the Bags of Spain double tenor/alto case.
