Trombone Improvisation Savvy and Alto Trombone Savvy to be specific.
Does anyone have first hand experience with these materials? Thoughts?

Started to dig into the first when I realized the clever example solution was entirely C pent, so I put it away.

They're OK. Mine was full of errors where it was accidentally in G clef transposed on a few pages...
I worked through it, and could not improvise like Mike Lake upon completion. I did learn a lot, but he's a pretty great player so what can I do?
I think my old free alto bone primer, not the whole book, is a better intro to alto, but I'm biased. I'm working on a complete version currently, but don't want to give away much since I don't want to be beaten to the post. It won't be free, and the old version got hijacked so it's goneas well. But mine will be coming out soonish.

I’ve been meaning to get one from him. I had a lesson with him about a month ago and we used some stuff from both alto trombone savvy and his improv book and both were cool. I just tend to drag my feet and forget such stuff
