After reading all the posts about the different grips I think a strap type like the Yamaha would work best for me.
If I have to pick my horn up off my horn stand quickly is it easy to get into?

I've got one and really like it. I find that it takes me a barely noticeable amount of time longer than just grabbing my horn, though it look a bit of getting used to.
I've got the Yamaha and leather specialties (or whatever their name is) one, and I very much recommend the later over the Yamaha. It's a much better product.

It takes practice to slip on quickly, but it's not hard. It's an extra couple seconds every time.
