Mouthpiece Manufacturers Represented by Use (Updated)

Post by walldaja »

Please take the time to update your mouthpiece manufacturer. I've added those suggested and you should be able to select as many as you need to. Thanks in advance for your input

I'm surprised with all the hoopla of AR Resonance of the last few weeks nobody's voted for one.

I own a few other mouthpieces that I don't play at all:

Callet (bought it at a master class and decided it wasn't for me)
Benterfa (wood is too delicate and I couldn't find a venue for it - it's more like a "chamber music mouthpiece")
Giardinelli - actually using it with a Doug Elliott rim on alto. What do you call that? Giardelliott?
Jet Tone - way too small for me.

I have used Doug's pieces for about a decade, of course the other thing with Doug is that by working with him you get to understand your own chops in a much better way

Of the stock mouthpieces I have used Denis's mouthpieces since I started playing in the early 70's in fact on a shelf I still have my original tenor horn mouthpiece ( the British brass band instrument in Eb) but of course Denis redisigned them all in the late 90's and I prefer the original rim shapes
