Zion Williamson

Post by Mikebmiller »

Not going to brag, but when a kid from your hometown Is the first pick in the NBA draft, it’s a pretty cool thing. Our community band practices at the private school where he played HS ball. When they had a game on the same night as a band practice, we had to park a long way off. Good luck to him!

Great for NBA; bad for Duke.
Long gone are the days when players stayed all four years; THOSE were the golden days of college basketball (the 80's)

Remember, Magic Johnson left college after just 2 years to enter the NBA draft...

True. Magic left at a good time-after winning the NCAA Championship. I don't think Duke made it to the Final Four this year?

I seem to remember some guy named Jordan also left early...

Always been happening, not worth complaining about. Look at Durant and Klay this year, one wrong step and that kid could be out 10s of millions.
