.547 bore leadpipe for tenor doubler

Post by baBposaune »

I play bass trombone primarily and have for over 4 decades. Recently picked up a Bach 42BO with an Edwards dual bore slide, .547/562" bore sizes. My question is for players who double regularly on bass and large bore tenor: is there a leadpipe that plays well in a dual bore, large tenor slide that helps make the switch between the two horns feel/sound more natural or intuitive? Just looking for feedback to hone in on the taper of leadpipe I should be trying out and not re-invent the wheel, so-to-speak.

Honestly, a single bore slide may help. I find that the more similar to my bass, the more I'll play it like my bass.
