Doug Elliott - George Roberts
What would be a Doug Elliott set up that would be comparable to a Conn Roberts or SO? Has anyone tried something in this size range? How did it work for you?

I think it would a MB 108/109 with a conn shank if you have a Conn. Otherwise use the regular shank. Works very nice to get a feeling of the George Roberts style and what equipment he played. I have those mouthpieces and my colleagues like the sound very much. Very comfortable to play. Yes, I play the Bach Mt Vernon 1 1/2g, but for the listener I sound about the same on the MB 108.

George Roberts played on my SB 108, J, J8Conn for a couple of years a long time ago. I think he moved to something slightly bigger, and MB 109, J, J8Conn as Savio said is probably a good choice.
I didn't make the MB series back then. I started it to fill the need for a slightly-larger-than 1-1/2G range of mouthpieces.
