I donated $25 to the TTF back in October. It’s not much, and I don’t want it back, but I’m curious as to what happens to the donations. As I said, mine was small, but what about someone who gave a large donation? I’m guessing there could be a substantial sum of money there. If it were possible, I would transfer my donation to Trombone Chat.

Re: TTF Donation Question
Haaaaaaahaaaaaaa!
Your guess is as good as anyone else's.
As for donations, no need at the moment. We have a lot of other things to figure out still. Enjoy TC!

Re: TTF Donation Question
Richard provided all the equipment and technical know-how for many years and I am pretty sure he never made much money out of it. However, as a website provider, he had a perfect right to pocket any money that was left over after he had paid the expenses of running the site. And also to pocket any money he got from any sponsorship that may have been involved. He certainly earned it with the effort he put in.

(Transcribing jazz solos is fraught with difficulties because exact rhythmic notation is well-nigh impossible. So listen carefully because it's the only way to learn how to play jazz trombone so that we can return to the Golden Age.)

Makes sense to me. Hadn't thought about that.Grah wrote: ↑Tue Apr 10, 2018 7:46 pm Richard provided all the equipment and technical know-how for many years and I am pretty sure he never made much money out of it. So, is the Trombone Forum officially deceased?

Re: TTF Donation Question
It's certainly not officially demised - there's the page right there asserting that it'll be back in a rolling fortnight.
Unofficially? Bruce has the answer... RLB's guess is the only one that matters.
