Sad to relate that Australian jazz vocalist and pianist Janet Seidel died on Tuesday after succumbing to cancer. I used to see her a lot in the 1990s when I was living in Sydney and attending/playing jazz festivals all around Australia and she was definitely one of my favourites; especially when performing with American/Aussie Tom Baker. Also recognised as a top jazz vocalist in Europe and Japan.
