1978 King 7B on Ebay

Post by larrys »

I am in the market for a used bass trombone, and was wondering if this horn, listed on Ebay, would be considered a good value:

It's not a 7B, it's a 6B. Dependent dual valve. Looks like it still has the over/under dual trigger rather than the more modern split trigger.

If you really prefer a dependent dual, this is a nice one. A lot of folks here like the 6B Duo Gravis. I play a 7B, which is an independent with split triggers. I prefer my horn, but the choice between indy and dependent is yours.

Also, if you don't like having to keep the bell brace between thumb and forefinger (many here don't) you may find it uncomfortable to hold. I personally prefer this orientation.

It's way too expensive. You should be getting one with a solid sterling silver bell for that price.

Tom has a nice DGSS listed on the classifieds at a very attractive price.
