Sam Burtis's book on the trombone
I was on Doug Yeo's website recently and he highly recommended the book, "The American Trombone," by the late Sam Burtis.
Since that was privately published and sold by him, does anyone here on the TCF, know where to get a copy of this book?

Thanks, I've used interlibrary loan quite often, but didn't think of using it for Sam's book.

Just be careful -- just because something is out of print doesn't mean it's not covered by copyright.

Re: Sam Burtis's book on the trombone
I have a copy of the American Trombone somewhere. There is a later book, Time and Connections or something like that; I haven't read any of it.
If you're looking for the first book I'd be willing to send my copy. It's 217 pages, spiral bound, so it would be easy to scan, but more trouble than it's worth to me. I just looked to see if I still had it, and there it was, bottom shelf next to 37 Weeks to Double High C, the Roger Spaulding classic.
