A refreshing power off

I had a refreshing trombone related experience today at a local coffee shop.
It was not the auditory type, but nonetheless was a pleasant experience.

It needed no Captcha to prove my human existence to open it.
It came with a search engine at the end.

There was no pestering the establishment for a password; I just opened it.

Outside of eight titles on the rear of the device, there was no insistence of advertising.

During my time, I experienced no popups for distractions.

There were no reminders of how many trackers were present to remove them.

The only cookie was on a plate nearby and it was delicious. (software)

I did feel social interaction outside the intended device with stamped dates and notes
from previous viewers.

Today, I was reading a used copy of Trombone Technique by Denis Wick,
formerly from the stacks of the London Imperial College & Science Museum Library.

It's a nice travel size book, 7 by 5 inch, and goes well with a same size notebook to take notes.

Has anyone come across small travel sized trombone/music theory, reference or bios they enjoyed? -

Those little gems that can slip into a small bag for cafes and flights?

The memoirs of Hector Belioz are one of the most well-written and entertaining books I've ever read (in addition to obviously being interesting from a music history perspective), and perfect for exactly those reading contexts.

This thread reminded me to check again for a nice copy to buy...and just found this third edition, in two volumes, pocket-ish size, marbled hardcover, quarter bound in leather.

When I read it in school, I had the impression he (Mssr. Berlioz) suffered from a not insignificant degree of paranoia, and his music to me always evokes feelings of listening to someone with a hyperactivity / attention span disorder.
