Remington Specs
I just got a vintage (circa 1965) Conn 72H bass with a Remington mp. Does anyone know the specs or Bach equivalent for this piece? Thanks!

Re: Remington Specs
If the mouthpiece is labeled "Remington" it's actually a bit small for a 72H. The Remington is around Bach 5G in size. The proper mouthpiece with the Conn shank is a 3B (the "Remington" taper is actually a Brown and Sharpe taper rather than the Morse taper used in more common mouthpieces).

V shaped ,5G/5GS depth cup, around 5G rim diameter..Where it depart from Bach 5G specs is the strange rim contour and a tiny 6,15mm throat size, long sweep backbore, long shank /special non-morse taper shank..It fit very well in an old 88H if You can endure the rim..I am using a modified version in my 1920 «large Symphony» where it offsets the huge bell taper by adding brilliance..
