The 1980s was a great time to be young and living in New York City. It was a really happening time for music. Alto Saxophone player Arthur Blythe, with his heavy but not corny vibrato, and unorthodox lineups was part of that scene. Tuba player Bob Stewart was a frequent collaborator. I liked those Tuba, guitar, cello groups.

Sorry to hear that. I recall reading that he suffered from Parkinson's. Lenox Avenue Breakdown is one of my favorite albums. The title tune is masterpiece.
