After many years playing with a Bach 5GB mouthpiece I decided I should try out some similar sized mouthpieces (I didn't feel it was quite working with my newish Greenhoe - especially in the upper range). So I spent a morning at Phil Parker's (London) trying a whole load of different mouthpieces in the 5G range (Wick 5BL, Griego-Bousfield, Warburton and several Schilkes (51/52) - and my standard 5GB) and the Bach Artisan 5G stood out as the best for me. Better/richer sound across the range and also better control in the upper register. I did also quite like the Griego-Bousfield 5G but felt the Artisan 5G had a better overall sound.
What struck me is the considerable differences between these mouthpieces (of a similar size) in terms of the resulting tone and feel - also how tricky it is to choose one from such a large range.

Romero 25.5 is something to consider.
