I just acquired a Doug Elliott MP for my bass bone. I don't play bass much so I never spent the money. But recently I am using the horn. The 30 year old MP had lost its plating and was chosen in a day when the woof was more needed then the sound.
The impressive thing is not just Doug's MP but the way Doug seems to just pick the right MP for you. I have 6 horns with a few that had changes. most of the MP bought from Doug have not changed since the horn changed. That makes his product a bit more affordable then buying many MP's.
Kudo's to Doug and his skills.
Kudos Doug

Re: Kudos Doug
I've tested many mouthpieces over the years, and I keep coming back to Doug's. None of the other brands feel as comfortable for me, Doug's sound the best for me too. Since I feel most comfortable on Doug's mouthpieces, I play better too.
