Instrument Innovations rotary valve maintenance

Post by RichC »

Are the Instrument Innovations rotary valves disassembled in the same way as a traditional rotary valve?

It would be best to contact them directly. The Olsen`s have tremendous costumer service and are always willing to answer any questions. Better to go to the source than get your info 2nd hand

Yes, but more like Greenhoe with both plates that can come off the casing iirc.

I think that the “double bearing plate” feature makes them a little different. It involves a few more steps for disassembly, cleaning and reassembly.

Thanks. In that case, best to get some instructions before tackling, at least for me.

Overall it's the same as for any rotor.

It IS a bit tricky though, to get the bearing plates to seat correctly to eliminate the endplay I have found.
