Techs currently doing repair work

Post by Klimchak »

Does anyone know of any techs that are currently accepting work? Everyone around here is closed until further notice. I have no problem shipping. Since things are currently on hold, I would bot mind getting a spare horn I have into playable shape.

Thanks

I'll check with my tech in Cleveland on Monday and see if he'll do it.

I'm fairly certain John Sandhagen in California is still doing work on a call by call basis. Here's a link to his website. https://theboneyard-ca.org/index.html

Who do you use in Cleveland?
I can't believe we never connected when I as still working. For a lot of years I did a lot of work for Lentine's and Sodja's. For the last 15 years I did all of Sam Ash's work plus a lot for Motter's. Also a bunch of local pro's.
Now I just work on my own horns!

I used Educator's when I was in Twinsburg, then when I moved to North Royalton I started with Greg Moore. His shop is Moore Music in Parma, on State near Brookpark Road. Just had him take dents out of my 7B bell and fix the slide.

He usd to be a satellite location for Motter's rental program. Does he still do that since Motter's sold out?

I know of at least one person that’s still open and I wouldn’t be surprised if the other tech in my area is too. I love just outside of Chicago.

My guy in Cleveland is still fixing horns. He is a trumpet player and specializes in valved instruments but has worked on a few of my trombones as well. Slides are not his speciality. PM me if anybody wants contact info.

This has to be Benn Hansson. I don't think he's still in Issaquah, though. Benn? I'll approve your second post ASAP.

I'm still doing work from home, although it's mostly small repairs. Are all the large retailers closed at this point?
