Reginald Chapman Octave Effect

Post by bubblelord »

Hello! I was listening to some videos of Reginald Chapman on Youtube and heard what sounded like an octave above him playing at all times in some of his live recordings, especially when soloing. It sounded kind of like a trumpet, though none were playing. I was wondering if any of you knew if he used some kind of octave effect, and if so, what it is and what your thoughts are on it. Thanks!

Heres an example of what I mean:

Digitech Whammy pedal—a classic guitar pedal for years, also works to great effect with low brass. Not too expensive to get started either!
